THE WELSH CHORAL IN SONG
The collection of pieces on our latest CD represents some of the origins of the Liverpool Welsh Choral, with roots in the traditional music of Wales, but also the other countries of the British Isles.
It contains the first ever recording of Caneuon Serch a Gofid, a piece written for the Liverpool Welsh Choral in 2010 by the British composer Ian Stephens.
Also included are well-known favourites such as Londonderry Air, the Skye Boat Song, Seren Nadolig and You’ll Never Walk Alone.

LAND OF MY FATHERS
This CD is a celebration of an association which has flourished for well over 12 years, between the Northop Silver Band and the Liverpool Welsh Choral. The music is celebratory in nature, and includes many of the works associated with the Last Night of the Proms.

MOR FAWR WYT TI
This CD is a compilation of 15 best loved hymns, sung in Welsh by The Choir. Commissioned by Ted Clement-Evans, it forms part of a series of CDs that showcase the Cymanfa Ganu tradition.
Liverpool is a city to which the people of Wales have contributed so much, and the joyful singing of these hymns was heard in more than 60 chapels at the time The LWC Choir was founded in 1900.
The accompanying informative booklet contains musical scores and verses in Welsh, with brief composers’ bios and a history of The Choir, both in Welsh and English.
