Liverpool Welsh Choral presents Mozart’s Requiem with dramatic power and heartfelt expression.  Written in the final year of Mozart’s life and left unfinished at his death, the work is renowned for its emotional depth and striking choral writing.

Among its most memorable moments are the intense “Dies Irae”, the haunting “Tuba Mirum” with its solo trombone, and the beautiful “Lacrimosa”, one of Mozart’s most moving creations. The grandeur of “Rex Tremendae” and the dramatic contrasts of “Confutatis” lead to the calm reflection of “Lux Aeterna”.

Liverpool Welsh Choral brings the passion, scale, and beauty of this masterpiece vividly to life, in the beautiful setting of Christ Church in Port Sunlight, Wirral.

Liverpool Welsh Choral at Princes Road Synagogue

Join Liverpool Welsh Choral for a special concert on Sunday 28 June at the magnificent Princes Road Synagogue, the oldest synagogue in Liverpool. Celebrating 150 years in 2024, this Grade I listed building remains an active place of worship and a landmark of the city’s rich heritage.

Although its original external minarets were removed following damage during the Second World War, the synagogue’s interior remains breathtaking. The prayer hall bursts with colour—an extraordinary fusion of Eastern and Western design influences that create a truly splendid setting.

A wonderful opportunity to experience both the architectural beauty of this historic building and the musical excellence of Liverpool Welsh Choral—a performance not to be missed!

Liverpool Welsh Choral join forces once again with Northop Silver Band for a spectacular Christmas concert, full of festive cheer, humour, beauty and charm. The choir will sing many favourite carols, and Danielle Thomas will perform the beautiful O Holy Night.

Remembrance

Liverpool Welsh Choral will be joined by  Barbara Ruzsics (soprano) and  Damian O’Keeffe (bass) to perform works by renowned English composers. The program features notable pieces such as Vaughan Williams’ “Dona Nobis Pacem,” Parry’s “I Was Glad,” and Elgar’s “For the Fallen,” making it a poignant tribute for remembrance weekend.
