125th Anniversary Concert
A hugely appreciative full house at the fantastic Tung Auditorium witnessed the premiere performance of Keith Orrel’s outstanding new work, ‘Four Rivers’, commissioned by LWC.
Keith was delighted to welcome his former piano teacher, the acclaimed pianist Martin Roscoe, to help the Choir celebrate 125 years of glorious singing.
Many thanks to special guests, Lord Lieutenant Mark Blundell, Deputy Lord Lieutenant Billy Hui and their wives Suzanne and Kerry, plus Guy and Heather Kelland whose generous sponsorship contributed greatly to the success of the evening.
And an extra special thank you to the wonderful Jean Hathorne and her son Charles for their presence. Jean is the grand-daughter of the Harry Evans, Liverpool Welsh Choral’s very first Choir Master in 1900.
