Keiths Announcements

Dear choir,

I hope you are all having a wonderful summer.

Soon the choir will be embarking on another exciting season to celebrate its 125th Anniversary Year which I’m sure will both delight and stimulate, and I warmly welcome you to join us on the next choral journey. Tell your friends about it. Perhaps they are singers who want to sing some fabulous repertoire with a choir which is growing once more, or perhaps you can entice them to some of our concerts or other events.

The season’s schedule (above) pretty much tells you all you need to know.

The season leading up until Christmas involves varied and interesting mixed programmes with the magnificent Northop Silver Band once more in December, and with Cantorion Menai for the Dream of Gerontius in June 2025.

And you may wish to get involved in some of the community events, more informal than our main concerts, but equally enjoyable.

We also hope to offer more on the education front: a vocal training session or two, more sight-singing (at the next level building on previous years) and ongoing Welsh pronunciation learning.

Can’t wait for all this……see you soon!

Keith

LWC Uniform - What To Wear

Not sure what to wear to a concert?  Check out our guide to uniform and what you need.

Uniform Requirements

Behaviour and Appearance on Stage (issued Nov 22)

Our aim when we go on stage is to enhance our performance by being as professional in our behaviour and appearance as possible, as this contributes to how our audience perceives and hears the choir.

This means that an important key to maintaining a polished, professional and harmonious appearance on stage is to avoid looking and behaving in ways that will distract the audience’s attention from our performance.

Please read and familiarise yourself with what is expected from you regarding behaviour and appearance on concert days.
